KAROSEN KOULU

Challenges: The space requirements created by the new curriculum and the need to create an efficient, versatile, and functional learning environment.

Solutions: One of the first schools in Finland to be built based on the cluster principle, with a central functional space serving as a thoroughfare to reduce the need for corridors. The use of steel in the structure has allowed for versatile architecture, and the building features a dialogue between the metallic exterior and the wooden interior surfaces.
